Belinda Dymek was born in Atlanta, Georgia. She and her family moved to Charleston five years ago. She is married and has four daughters. Belinda graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a Mathematics degree. She attended Kennesaw University and earned a degree in Education. About
12 years ago, Belinda became interested in the Montessori philosophy of education. Through North American Montessori Center, Belinda earned Montessori Education diplomas in Primary (3-6 years), Lower Elementary (6-9years) and Upper Elementary (9-12). She has taught classes at the Primary
and Lower Elementary levels. When Belinda learned of Sofia Cavaletti’s work with Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, she signed up for Level I training and then followed it later with training in Level II. She has taught Catechesis of the Good Shepherd at both levels. Belinda enjoys gardening, walking with her family and dog, eating family dinners and watching family movies.

Katherine King

Teaching Assistant

I was named after my mom's good friend and famous women's empowerment advocate Gloria Steinem and her other best friend the late and wonderful Katherine Mckutchin. Native to Charleston and grew up here until graduating from Wando High School. Afterwards I hopped around from job to job and city to city. I’ve lived in Asheville, NC, Queens NY and Statesboro GA. I am passionate about traveling and have been to fourteen countries.

Right when this pandemic hit and all the airports were shutting down world wide I was trying to find my way out of Egypt.

I think family is very important and am very close with my own. I have had many jobs retail, food & bev, even some acting and art jobs. I tend to lean towards the creative, but I find myself at home working with children.

Another great passion of mine is helping others, I think human connection is extremely important and am so grateful to be at Holy Communion for my third year as a Teacher’s Assistant.

Your children give me purpose and put a smile on my face every day, so thank you,

Katherine
