Holy Communion Day School

Holy Communion's Day School first opened in September of 2011. We are a Christian, Montessori preschool for students 6-months to 5-years located in midtown Charleston. Our school hours are 8:45 am-12:15 pm, Monday through Friday. We offer 4-, and 5-day options for all ages.  Many of our students come from the surrounding neighborhoods; however, because we are conveniently located to the Crosstown, the James Island Connector, the Ravenel Bridge and I-26 we are able to serve families from all over the greater Charleston area.

 

The Day School provides an opportunity for each child to grow and develop independently, at their own pace, in our three multi-age Montessori environments:  Infant/Toddler for children ages 6-months to 18-months, Toddler for children ages 18-months to 36-months, and Primary for children 3-5 years old.  Our environments are especially prepared for the children, designed to meet their needs intellectually, physically, and spiritually.  We follow Dr. Maria Montessori's philosophies and encourage each student's inherent love of learning. Students are encouraged to respect themselves and others and to develop inner discipline and confidence.
